Paul D. House
Executive Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer
Paul D. House became Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors on March 1, 2008. He was named Interim President and Chief Executive Officer on May 24th, 2011.
Mr. House joined Tim Hortons as Vice President of Marketing in 1985. Mr. House was named Chief Operating Officer in 1993, President and Chief Operating Officer in 1995, Chief Executive Officer in November 2005 and Chairman of the Board in 2007.
Mr. House served on the Board of Directors of Wendy’s International, Inc. from 1998 through February 1, 2007. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation and serves on the Board of Trustees of Brock University, as well as on the Advisory Board of the Brock University Business School.
Mr. House joined Dairy Queen Canada in 1972 and held various management positions with the Company including Vice President of Canadian Operations. Mr. House holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from McMaster University. Close X
Jill E. Aebker
Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary
Jill Aebker was appointed Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary in August 2012 where she serves as the executive team member primarily responsible for the Company’s legal affairs. Ms. Aebker joined Tim Hortons in 2006 and has, since that time, held positions of progressively senior legal responsibilities including most recently as Senior Vice-President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.
Over her tenure, Ms. Aebker played a key role in the Company’s Initial Public Offering and the establishment of the legal securities compliance and governance functions of the newly public company, the repatriation of the public company to Canada, as well as leading other significant Company initiatives and developments. Prior to joining Tim Hortons, Ms. Aebker was corporate counsel at Wendy’s International, Inc. and practiced corporate and health care law for Squire Sanders LLP and Eastman & Smith Ltd.
Ms. Aebker is an active Board member of STRIDE, a not-for-profit community organization in Halton Region, Ontario.
Ms. Aebker holds a Juris Doctor degree, a Master of Health Administration degree, and a Bachelor of Arts degree, all from The Ohio State University. Close X
David F. Clanachan
Chief Operating Officer, Tim Hortons
David F. Clanachan was appointed Chief Operating Officer, Tim Hortons in August 2012.
Mr. Clanachan joined Tim Hortons in 1992 and held various positions in the Operations Department including Vice President, Operations – Western Ontario and Executive Vice President, Training, Operations Standards and Research & Development. In March 2008, Mr. Clanachan was appointed Chief Operations Officer, United States and International where he was accountable for U.S. and International restaurant operations, development and growth strategy.
At the age of 14, Mr. Clanachan took interest in Tim Hortons and worked at restaurant level in guest service. He eventually went on to manage multiple restaurants while attending the University of Windsor.
Mr. Clanachan is a member of the Canadian Hospitality Foundation Board of Directors and is the Chair of the Policy Advisory Board at the University of Guelph – School of Hospitality and Tourism.
Mr. Clanachan holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Windsor. Close X
Cynthia J. Devine
Chief Financial Officer
Cynthia J. Devine joined Tim Hortons in 2003 as Chief Financial Officer. In August 2012, in addition to her role as Chief Financial Officer, she was appointed executive accountability for the Supply Chain strategy and operations. Ms. Devine is also responsible for leading the Company’s financial organization including accounting, financial reporting, tax, financial planning and analysis, treasury, internal audit, investor relations as well as information technology and manufacturing operations.
Ms. Devine developed the infrastructure, processes and capabilities necessary to successfully lead the Company through its Initial Public Offering in 2006. Today, Tim Hortons is one of the largest publicly-traded quick service restaurant chain in North America based on market capitalization and the largest in Canada.
Ms. Devine is a Chartered Accountant and has served in senior executive positions for Maple Leaf Foods and Pepsi-Cola Canada. Close X
Michel Meilleur
Executive Vice President, Tim Hortons U.S.A.
Michel Meilleur was appointed Executive Vice President, Tim Hortons U.S.A. in August 2012. In this position, he leads all aspects of the U.S. business including restaurant operations and development, franchising, human resources, and marketing.
Mr. Meilleur joined Tim Hortons in 1994 as a restaurant manager, and has since held several positions including District Manager, Director of Operations, Director of Training and Vice President of Strategic Projects. In 2004, he was promoted to Regional Vice President of Operations where he led the growth and development of the Company’s eastern U.S. region. In 2009, he assumed responsibility for all U.S. operations and relocated to the U.S. headquarters located in Dublin, Ohio.
Mr. Meilleur holds an Honors Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with a minor in Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University. Close X
William A. Moir
Chief Brand and Marketing Officer
William A. Moir was appointed Chief Brand and Marketing Officer and President of the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation in March 2008. Mr. Moir joined Tim Hortons in 1990 as Vice President of Marketing and was promoted to Executive Vice President of Marketing in 1997.
Prior to joining Tim Hortons, Mr. Moir gained extensive marketing management experience, holding key positions with K-Tel, Shell Oil and Labatt Breweries. In addition to his role at Tim Hortons, Mr. Moir is a Director and past Chairman of the Coffee Association of Canada.
Mr. Moir holds an Honors Business degree from the University of Manitoba. Close X
Brigid V. Pelino
Executive Vice President, Human Resources
Brigid V. Pelino was appointed Executive Vice President, Human Resources in August 2012. Ms. Pelino joined Tim Hortons in 2001 as Vice President, Human Resources, with responsibility for all aspects of Human Resources strategy for both Canada and the United States and was promoted to Senior Vice President, Human Resources in March 2008. Prior to joining the Company, Ms. Pelino worked in senior level Human Resource positions for Canadian Tire Corporation, Honeywell International and General Electric.
Ms. Pelino holds a Honours Bachelor of Economics and Accounting Degree and a Masters Degree in Industrial Relations, both from the University of Toronto. Close X
Roland M. Walton
President, Tim Hortons Canada
Roland M. Walton was appointed President, Tim Hortons Canada in August 2012. He joined Tim Hortons in 1997 as Executive Vice President of Operations, responsible for operations in both Canada and the U.S. and was appointed to Chief Operations Officer, Canada in March 2008.
Mr. Walton’s restaurant industry experience includes Wendy’s Canada, Pizza Hut® Canada and Pizza Hut USA. In 1995 Mr. Walton held the position of Division Vice President for Pizza Hut USA’s Central Division.
Mr. Walton holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Guelph.
